It was with raised glasses and a toast to success that we kicked off the annual NYC Webgrrls Holiday Celebration on Thursday, December 5. The NYC Webgrrls Holiday Party is an industry event and an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in technology and business, make new connections, and have a little fun!

Kevin Kennedy, Founder and CEO of Webgrrls International, started the evening with a warm welcome and a toast to a prosperous 2014. He then introduced our host of the evening Nelly Yusupova (aka DigitalWoman), Webgrrls CTO and the NYC Webgrrls Chapter Leader.

Nelly took it up a notch, welcoming those in attendance, introducing our sponsors (The Naked Grape, Wacom, ThoughtWorks) and encouraging everyone to "meet at least 10 new people tonight." Everyone joined in with their own cheers and resolutions for the coming year.

Tasty as ever, The Naked Grape provided some amazing Pinot Noir and Pinto Grigio for the evening. These winemakers say that they "bare it all to reveal the best - in our grapes and the people we meet!" They have eight unique varietals and blends...check them out at your favorite wine shop!

We also all enjoyed a nice Italian spread including Penne a la Vodka, Conchiglioni with Broccoli, and Chicken Piccata.

As the event was winding down, Wacom Intous Pen and Touch Tablets, tickets to TechSpeak for Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, and Build You Social Media Bootcamp were raffled off. Congratulations to the winners - Arina Shulga, Andrew Frankel, Geraldine Ang, Tessa Plen,

A big Thank You goes out to Jared Hatch and the ThoughtWorks team for sharing their space with us. ThoughtWorks is a software company and a purpose-led, passionate community that thinks disruptively to deliver technology addressing their clients' toughest challenges, revolutionizing the IT industry and creating positive social change.

Happy holidays to all! We wish you the best in 2014. We'll see you next year. We have lots of great events in the works!

Thank You to Our Sponsors!
