Chapter Launch Networking Event
Event date: September 20 2011
Posted by: Anne Ahola Ward

Dynamic and diverse, high energy and fantastic, truly summarize our September 20th launch of the San Francisco Webgrrls! Excitement filled the room as we set the context for the chapter and I shared my vision and set the goals. We then opened the discussion up for other ideas and possible directions that we should explore...

"I like that Anne was open about making the chapter about what people want. I really liked the women I met, and it was easy to talk to people I did not know"
-Noelle McReynolds, Marketer and Project Manager

Only the Best Sponsors
It was with great pleasure that I introduced Karin Katselis of Robert Half Technologies and The Creative Group, our sponsors for this launch event. Karin offered us some insights of the employment and contracting scene in San Francisco and showed the benefits of connecting with them to help contractors and entrepreneurs.  Thank you!

Webgrrls Heart and Soul
We jumped right into the "heart and soul" of the Webgrrls meeting...the introductions. Each person took the opportunity to share, "who they were, what they did, what they need and what they offer," showcasing their experience, expressing what they wanted to accomplish and their ideas geared toward the future. What an amazing group with professionals and from many industries including; social media, pr, project management, design, web development, etc.

"I loved the format of being able to openly network in a comfortable setting...Anne is a great leader."
-Kelly Winger, Business Development

And the Winners were
The winners of the Zend PHP conference tickets are Catherine Davis and Jessica Greenwalt. Congratulations and we hope you enjoy the event!

It was fun to see all of the bustling business, networking and connecting, and the business cards being passed around"¦that is how business is done.

"Webgrrls is a very supportive group. I met most of the people who attended and I liked the relaxed, and friendly atmosphere. It is a great opportunity to meet more people in my field."
-Catherine Davis, Digital Marketing Senior Manager
