Nelly Yusupova presentingGetting into the nitty-gritty of Twitter was the offering of the "Twitter Tactics & Strategies" workshop on Wednesday, March 16, which was the second part of the NYC Webgrrls Twitter doubleheader conducted by Nelly Yusupova, Webgrrls CTO and NYC Webgrrls Chapter Leader. It was an immediate hit! The workshop was geared toward those who had the basic workings and terminology of Twitter down but felt a need to learn more advanced strategies to maximize their experience with it.

"The webgrrls twitter workshops are a fantastic value and it is fun to share the room with so many nerdy and brainy women. @DigitalWoman (Nelly) is a stellar teacher. This was my second twitter workshop and I will continue to recommend webgrrls workshops to others. I always walk away with widened horizon".

INTRODUCTIONS ALL AROUND
"Tell us about yourself in 140 characters or less!" Nelly joked, noting the Twitter limit we're all now familiar with. There were business owners who wanted to sell more effectively. Others wanted to offer better customer service.  Some were professional marketers who knew they needed to be on the cutting edge. Others had found the benefit of using Twitter as a news filter and wanted to know how else they could leverage this useful tool were ready for some tips to push it further. Many had taken part one of the workshop series and were ready for the next step.

"Having Nelly's insights to help your business craft a coherent strategy and tactics for Twitter, is truly invaluable. With a single presentation, you come away with enough ideas and tools to exponentially grow leads and generate buzz".

TIPS, TRICKS, & CASE STUDIES
Creating goals, branding yourself, building relationships, and measuring your impact are important to Twitter success. How you communicate is as important and what you communicate on Twitter was a key take-away. Nelly gave tips on how to develop your brand by identifying your specialty and your target market, and especially what makes you unique and memorable. She included case studies to illustrate successful tweeters such as a web host who gets most of its new clients from Twitter, a hotel who built its business giving offers to travelers via Twitter, and a software company who gained vast exposure with a Twitter contest. Along with some "tricks" for data mining and gathering stats, Nelly also gave an extensive demo of Seesmic.com, an online tool for managing Twitter and other social networks.

"Excellent program, well delivered, fun, informative with practical tools you can use immediately."
