Webgrrls Social Mixer - A Beautiful Evening and Eclectic Crowd

We had a beautiful evening (for once).  That is right, no rain, no power outages, all of the trains were working...Yes, the networking goddess were with us that evening. The August Webgrrls Social Mixer was a great success.

We all met at Common Ground, a quaint little bar in the East Village.  Caren Crawford, CEO of Crocheted by Caren, said, "It was a very inviting environment and I liked the friendly atmosphere the best"

And what an interesting, eclectic and varied crowd. Not too big and not too small. We had record label executives, television producers, those in the theater industry in attendance. We had entrepreneurs, business consultants and career women who also came...There were people looking to hire graphic artists and web developers and writers and those looking for partners and others looking for clients. Gary Nickerson of gwntec, Inc. said, "{It} gave me the opportunity to expand my range of contacts.  I had several very pleasant conversations". I overheard one conversation about translating a website into multiple languages and the sage advice offer by our own Kristen Vincent. The conversations were flowing and the buzz in the air was about business.

If you missed this one you missed a good one. It made up for the "rain out"
of last month.

You will not want to miss our next event. On September 11th, we are having a Wine Tasting and Cheese evening at Moore Brothers Wine Company. This is our second time at Moore Brothers and we will again taste some great wine, learn from the very knowledgeable staff and we encourage all of you to invite clients, friends,  and colleagues (both male and female) RSVP here!
