The new location, an old time Irish pub in Manhattan's East Village, was a change from previous mixers but still a welcoming venue for Webgrrls and friends to meet and greet. The bar reserved the back room for our group, which allowed privacy.
We were able to spread out, enjoy a few cocktails, and make some business connections.
Some longtime members attended, along with some we haven't seen in awhile, like Gadge Brown, the founder of cutting-edge Beamback.tv and several new people also came to see what Webgrrls is all about. Some of the faces included newbies such as Kim Adolf from Equantamedia, Carol Cuatt, and Gayle Nadler. We were all so busy making valuable connections that the evening flew by! Before we knew it was 8:30pm, marking the end of our Social Mixers for 2006.
Webgrrls' Formal Networking evenings resume in October. We hope to see many of you next month!
