Speaking and presenting is a great way to showcase your expertise and a great marketing strategy for yourself, your company, and your products and services.

Having sat through many un-engaging presentations and lectures, I have incorporated the Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and Accelerated Learning Technique (ALT) into my speeches and presentations to engage with my audience as I am presenting.  I found that ALT & NLP techniques help the audience stay engaged with the information resulting in quicker learning and higher information retention rates.  As a presenter you want your audience to feel like they are a part of your discussion and that you welcome their contributions…very similar to social media principals.

Textthemob.comAnother way to engage your audience during your presentations is to have real time voting and with a service TextTheMob.com, you can easily incorporate this into your next presentation.

TextTheMob.com is a free service that lets you set up a poll or a message board and allow your audience to vote via text messaging and instantly project the poll results on a large projector screen.

This is a great way to engage your audience and let them feel like they have contributed something.
