I spoke at the Blogging ’08 Conference today at the How We Communicate: FAQs for Beginning Bloggers panel with Melanie Nelson, Michele Mitchell and Shazia Mistry. We had a great turnout of bloggers who wanted to learn more about blogging and how to blog more effectively.
We each covered the top four blogging basics topics:
- Basic Infrastructure & Design
- Basic Blog Etiquette
- RSS
- Bloggy Bling: Widgets & Plugins.
Then we broke up into groups to let users ask us specific blog platform questions.
We all put together a Resource Document with lots of helpful links. Download it here.
Also, check out the BlogHer Live Blogging page that will be continually updated with live-blogs from each of the BlogHer ’08 sessions.

I’ve been operating my own blog for a while now. It originally started as an extension of my business. I keep hearing about this Blogging 08 Conference. I’m thinking about attending next year. Any thoughts from ladies who attended?
Hello Ellen,
BlogHer conferences are a great way of learning about blogs and also to connect with a lot of great women who do very interesting things. I would definitely recommend it!
