When will professional women start supporting each other?
How idiotic can a “journalist†be? And this seems like yet another example of one woman working hard to undermine and trivialize the professional accomplishments of another woman… and having worked with professional women for many many years, I have seen it before and I am sure I will see it again…but it really should stop.
In a CBS, The Early Show, Hannah Storm interview with Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich (focus on Elizabeth), Dennis very politely reminded Storm about his wife’s professional accomplishment, who, in addition to having a Master’s Degree in International Conflict Resolution, she has worked on international humanitarian matters and has done vast charitable work in Africa and India.
After answering a question about what she would bring to the White House, as First Lady, with a thoughtful, articulate, and well formulated answer, What was Storm’s focus? … her tongue ring!
“Can we see it?†she asks.

Storm’s obvious disregard and disinterest for Elizabeth’s accomplishments is shameful and disappointing as a woman..but more importantly as a “journalist” (which she really isn’t — she’s just a talking head who shoots for the lowest denominator).
Here she had a chance to positively spin something unconventional, and perhaps open up a conversation that might have bordered on interesting …but rather than focus on the candidates assets, Storm chose to highlight her clear lack of intellect and brains by talking about the inappropriateness of a tongue ring. She’s such an an idiot. But then again…that’s what journalism is about these days.
